The Lindsay and District Red Cross needs wool donations for their Winter Warmth (Mitts for Kids) program. Tickets are now available for the 13th annual Coboconk Duck Derby. The event will be held Sunday, Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. at the bridge in Coboconk. This year, 1,400 rubber ducks will go over the dam in the village, and the first four over the finish line with win prizes for the ticket holders. The Duck Derby is joint fundraiser for the Coboconk Lions Club and the United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes.
